ABOUT THEM:

Skinflint is a three piece African Heavy Metal band from Botswana, consisting of Giuseppe Sbrana AKA JUICE (Guitar/Vocals) Kebonye Nkoloso AKA RASKEBO (Bass) and Sandra Sbrana AKA Hurricane Sandy (Drums)! The band has had successful tours, and headlined shows across Africa such as (Rock Against Aids 07, 08, World Aids Day National Stadium 07, Woodstock Botswana 09, 10, Nairobi Rock Fest Kenya 2012, Whiplash Metal Fest 2010, Rockcember 07,08,09,11,12 and many more) as well as played alongside international acts such as Carcass (UK).

The bands releases have been considered to be be pioneering example of blending traditional Heavy metal with African Lyrical concepts, as well as musical theory. The lyrics address a wide range of subjects from traditional ancestral beliefs, all the way to tribal warfare and juju occultism! This has helped the band receive global exposure, and CNN came to Botswana to interviewed SKINFLINT (where the band also performed GAUNA, and this was aired worldwide on both TV and CNN Internet site)

The band currently just completed its 4th album "DIPOKO" and they Headlined, as well as launched the album at Rockcember (Gaborone, Botswana), and Nairobi Rock Fest 8th December 2012 (Kenya). The band has also just recently won the 2nd "Annual African Metal" awards for general excellence and best Metal player of the year "Giuseppe Sbrana"

The band will embark on a tour in 2013, in support of their album DIPOKO!
